TRX350 2000 Rear Shock
#1
Bonjour Guys,
I own a 2000 TRX 350 ES 4x4 with a leaking rear shock.
I did not buy it new and the shock is not OEM.it is a Kimpex shock.I would like to buy the same thing but the part number on the shock is 1/2 gone. The only thing left is "impex Pro Gold"
I checked in the Kimpex catalog and did ot find any rear shock for a 2000 TRX 350 ES.That means that the previous owner installed something made for another ATV.
My question is:What kind of Kimpex Rear shock did he install. On the Kimpex catalog, there are rear shocks for TRX 350 FW fourtrax 90-94 or TRX 350 Fourtra 86-94 and some for the TRX 450 foreman, con one of them fit my ATV.
Any help will be greatly appreciated

From what I can see there is no listing for any of the Kimpex shocks for your ATV, so somone "jerry rigged" one to fit your ATV which is probably why its leaking now...used fo something its not designed.
I cant find a listing for anything in the Kimpex catalogue for your bike. Motovan lists a Progressive Suspension seried 512 for your bike (#76-1023B) for about $141. I think your better off getting an OEM replacement especially if its cheaper.

I would go back to a stock shock. Since the Ranchers all have solid axle's with a single center mounted shock, even if you did have a aftermarket shock, its not going to make that much of a difference in your ride quality. Save some money, put the OEM stock shock back under there. But at the end of the day, it's your atv, do what you think is best.
good luck

Salut Guys,
I took my decision and decided to install a Progressive Suspension shock.Cheaper and from what I ear, better comfort than the OEM Honda.
Ill keep you posted once it is installed
