88 warrior - wont spark continuously-cdi or magneto?
#1
I ve checked all wires and connecters, it will start if drug behind another fourwheeler and dropped into gear, but it still doesn't run right-- it misses like crazy---it s in time. The motor was running fine and my bro locked it up. I rebuilt it, new crank and magneto. after the rebuild it wont spark -(looking at the plug and turning over) -but every so often. I have thought that it was the cdi but i dont know why it would just go bad all of the sudden like that. Is there a way it could be the magneto? or stator? Im out of ideas and about ready to give up. any advice or opinions are greatly appreciated.

most likely the stator is shot, very common on the warriors, you can perform an ohms test on it to see if its ok, also make sure the parking brake sensor is disconnected and that the ign. coil isnt badly dry rotted or something

First off does that starter roll the motor over, and your just not getting spark... Sencond if you think your CDI is in working order make sure that it's grounded out very well.... Second make sure sencondary and primary wires are not damagd for the CDI, The CDI must be grounded out GOOD Make sure the CDI ground wire itn't corroded...

yes the starter rolls the motor over, and it will only spark randomly- and weak when it does--if i hold the plug it doesn't shock me very hard like it would it everything was working right.

i cant member what ohms it should be i think it should be around mid 200's but when u test it i think u gotta test one pin on the connector and one pin on the second connector, theres a certain sequence that you have to test it in order to get accurate results
