Hi to all I need to strip down my 04 500 HO scrambler carb, ( engine wont idle & backfires) I would like a picture showing all pieces of the carb so I can see what goes where. Do you know if the float is a fixed size or does it need to be adjusted? if so what is the mesurement? any other tips would help.

sounds like a classic case of your pilot jet being clogged.theres not alot of parts to that carb at all. everything has its own place. once you have it in your hands and take it apart, its very easy to work on.

the float should be parallel to the carb body when carb is upside down. like said before as long as you watch what your doing everything will go back into place very easily. not that many pieces to a carb anyways
