Default TRX 400EX Rebuild

I am in the process of rebuilding my son in laws TRX 400EX that has been bored out to a 440cc. He would like to bring it down to a 416cc. What do I need to do to accomplish this or can it be done with minimal cost?

I priced the 440cc kit at $230.95 at 11:1 ratio amd the 416cc at $130.00 at 11:1 ratio.

Any help will be greatly appreciated so I can get this rebuilt and out of my garage.

Thanks,

Brian

Default TRX 400EX Rebuild

most rebuild kits like that come with a new overbore jug, piston and rings. i think thats what your looking at. if you go down from a 440 kit then you will need to adjust and rejet the carb lower. the fastest way to get it out of your garage is ti just get another 440 kit.

hope this helps

Default TRX 400EX Rebuild

Quick question. I just got the parts for the rebuild and I have a Wiseco piston with an arrow stamped on it.

When installing the piston, does the arrow point towards the intake side?

Thanks for the assistance.
