Default Need Advice setting up a polaris 400 scrambler

I bought a used polaris scrambler 400 4x4 a couple of years ago but it's setup all wrong for the type of riding i want to do. where i ride is tight and rough with a lot of rocks , hills and mud. The machine has all the after market parts the last guy could put on it such as hi compression head, fmf pipe, ported cyl,and a keith flat slide carb. the clutch has been changed with a differant helx, springs and weights to engage realy high in the rpm range. It's super fast but way to loud and pipie for tight woods riding. so were to start, i'm thinking of putting on the stock exhaust pipe with the hot seat muffler to quit it down but how will this work with the high compression head and the carb jetting. the next thing would be to change the clutch to engage down lower. So if any one has any exspirence setting up a scrambler 400 i would love some advice. I would save me alot of trial and error! thanks alot PHIL
