I know I put the gas stabilizier in the gas,but should I run the ATV with the gas shut off untill the carb's bowl in emty or do I just let the gas sit in the bowl and let the gas treatment do its stuff?

Don't run the fuel dry, just run it enough to circulate the additive and then shut it off like normal. I would change the oil and filter, and grease it up.
The thing I worry about most is the battery, so I always keep a tickle charger on it to maintain its charge. Make sure it is the kind that only maintains the charge and doesn't over charge the battery. Some like to clean the posts and remove it at this time and bring it in to a warm and cozy place.
If you want, there are a few other things you could do, like putting it on jack stands to save on the springs, cleaning, waxing, and changing the anti-freeze, but it depends on how much you really want to do.
The end of the season is also a good time to think about changing the differential and transmission oils along with inspecting the drive belt, changing fuel the filter, but again it depends on how much you want to do and what kind of mileage you have on it and what your maintenance schedule looks like for your perticular ride.
Remember some do nothing and never have problems.

what i have done to all my wheelers is just fill the gas tank(prevents moisture building up)and put stabil in the tank running the bike to get into the fuel system and make sure i charge the battery and sometimes if its a 3 yr old bike pull the battery (not all the time)and forget it for the next 5 months. start it in the spring and go.

The absolute best winter storage is;Gas it up with stabilizer in the fuel, clean the air filter, check the tire air pressure, install the snow plow and back it in the garage. Then wait patiently for the snow

something that you guys may want to watch for is where you put it for staorage as the mice love to eat wire insulation and foam and other crap they put in the wheelers.

I bought a battery tender thinking it will save me some $$ by extending the life of my battery BUT got to wondering how much $$ in ELECTRICITY per month it's costing me?
Anyone know?
Maybe I should leave it un-plugged and put-in a new battery every other year?
