Whats the best winter storage method?

battery tender takes little juice to run the light, which is what its doing most of the time. and when it charges you battery it uses less then 1/20 a killowatt hour. and a kwh is something like $0.32. so MABE $1.00 a month if you have a crappy battery. very inexpensive and will extend you battery life a year+

I think you have to run the engine 5 minutes after you put Sta-Bil in the gas. There's no need to drain the bowl IMO. I never drained the carb on any kind of engine in the last 20 years and haven't had any problems.
I don't have a garage to back my quad into but I'm waiting for more snow to plow and ride in. Maybe the reason I never had mice get in mine like several other people have is because it's outdoors all the time. All the mice are in your garages out of the weather. I knew there had to be a bright side to "cold storage". The down side is sometimes the cover gets frozen to the seat and it has a foot of snow piled up on it. Oh well. I'm used to it. And at least mouse parts don't spray out of the belt housing when I crank it up.
