got a buddy thats buyn a 1999 sportsman 500..and his uncle has the side cover where the pull start is and has all the insides taken out..the shaft and what else is there...stator???? and as far as i know he was told the bike had no spark????ANYONE??

 

yes the bike has a stator. i would want all the pieces that go back on the bike before i would buy it unless hes getting real cheap.

 

hes gettn it for $100 bucks........

 

There some exspensive parts in there like the Flywheel $300,Stator $350, and Bendix $150. CDI Box is worth $260 I hope he still has those.

 

well he can always part it out for the money he'll have into ti but there ares some good prices there to consider form tlc's post.

 

i think its worth it 4 him 2 put even if its 700 dollors in it i said its worth it ..the bike is in really good shape....so i really dont know gonna have a local mech. look at it..
