my 89 warrior wont start it cranks like a champ and has great compression.

Before i had spark then i only had spark once in a while now i have none.

i check all wire connections and did a test light on them. i found that the orange wire goin to the coil (i think its thehot wire) has no power.

the orange wire runs from the cdi box to the coil.

does this mean i need a new cdi box?

i have like no $ so i cant buy a bunch of parts to try,

Most likely the CDI box, but you also need to check to see if power is coming from your stator to confirm a dead CDI box.

 

yea i think that is the CDI the orange wire is supposed to be hot. being an 89 its no suprise that the ignition would fail by now.
