This bike has done this several times before and always used manual shifter to return to neutral. Last week it stuck in 3rd gear and when I used the manual shifter it wouldn't shift. It finally shifted to second but it was if it was in neutral or maybe between stuck between gears. It finally dropped into second gear where it still remains because it wont shift out electrically or manually no matter how much you rock, kick and cuss it. Any suggestions or help wold be appreciated.

 

i would recomend takeing it to a mechanic. ik its the duh thing to say, but if it wont shift manually you have a tranny or clutch problem. IMO If it is in the tranny I would want a mech too look at it. I tryed replaceing 2nd in a tranny before i knew what i was doing...long story short it ended up needing ALOT more work after i got done with it.

if its in the tranny then a broken shifter fork maybe? or clutch is sticking HARD and will need to be replaced

 

I had this same problem but my 2001 350 rancher was stuck in 5th gear and no matter what couldn't get out of any gears. I took it to the honda shop where they found out the gear shift arm(plate) was broke, they replaced it and works fine now.
