Default need help with '86 trx 350 fourtrax

this machine has been sitting for years and hasnt been touched til the other day. when i got it it was in pieces so i put em all together and it ran (i changed the oil, drained and cleaned gas tank, cleaned carb, put a new fuel filter on it, and a whole bunch of other stuff) but it would run for a lil while idling then die or when you gave it gas it would bog down and die... and since i put a new fuel filter on it it is acting like its not getting any gas.... any ideas? what should the set screw settings be?
thanks for any help

John

sounds like a dirty pilot jet. its located outside the bowl, twords the engine. remove clean with carn cleaner and reinstall. remember to count the turns out/in it is. it could also b a partially clogged float valve. if you didnt take that apart before, i would do so. also check the float to see if its bad, hold it under water for a few seconds and see if their is any water inside of it.
