I saw a video on the new xp model and it showed about the true awd system and it automatically goes into 4wd and if needed it locks the front diff. But... i saw another video and it showed on the handlebars a switch and i think it showed 2wd and 4wd. Im confused, if it automatically goes into 4wd why is there a switch. Also on the polaris xp models is there only one brake lever? Im leaning towards the kingquad 750 with eps but please someone answer my question on the polaris xp. Thanks

 

The switch on the handlebars is for choosing between 2wd or 4wd.When you switch it to 4wd it still stays in 2wd until the rear tires spin 1/5 of a revolution then 4wd engages.Also the front diff is always locked when in 4wd.The brake lever on the handlebars activates front and rear brakes while the foot brake does the rear brakes.

 

plumbob is right except that the switch is a 3-way switch. It goes from 2wd to 4wd and then to 4wd with ADC turned on.

Go ride both before you pull the trigger. The non-EPS XP steers as or almost as easy as the other manufacturers EPS models..
Like I said...ride them both...that's all it will take I bet.

I hafta disagree with you on this one. My 850XP steers head and shoulders easier than my '05 SP700 - BUT - a clear difference from my Griz 700. HOWEVER - I have yet to have ANY bump feedback from my XP - something I still do get a little of with the Griz. FWIW - I've never ridden a Honda EPS quad.

I will end up with another XP - prolly a 550 with EPS - for Mrs BMQ sometime in the next year. Yes - they are that good!!!
