what is the best hp anyone has ever seen. on stock bore stock stroke ds650 and a good ideas on mods that were done piston,cams,head work, so on

 

the bom has had a stock bore/stroke OEM frame ds run 4.19 in 300ft!

 

thats a good run.

Depending on dyno, you will typically see anywhere from 66-70hp out of a stock bore stock stroke ds motor on gas.

This combo can vary from +1 valves to +2 valves and from RWR A1/A2 cams to Pami Race cams. Of course you will need a 48mm carb and drag pipe to get you there.

 

I recall Mr HP stating he made 77HP on stock bore/stroke using dual carbs and no power adders.

 

peak hp is not always the key, its where your tq and hp is located in the rpm. my lil stock bore honda only made 49hp but it made 48hp or more for 3,000 rpm, with only 300$ of internal mods. and it ran 4.8s..... not always about peak. where the power is located, and how long its there for.

 

ALL MY BIKES ARE BUILT FOR TORQUE YOU ARE CORRECT THAT IS THE KEY MY 440 LAID WHOOPINS ON MANY DS @ SAND MT. AND IT WAS NORMALY ASPIRATED ON ALCAHOL NO POWER ADDERS. JUST A TAD OF VANILLA SCENT TO GIVE THE GUY'S A PLEASENT SMELL WHILE THEY WERE BEING SPANKED.

right on man my 450r had enough of this(tq) with a cam and mods to the outside of the motor. gearing is everything
