hey im new here. im 16. and

im about to trade my 2000 polaris trailblazer for a 1997 400 scrammy 4x4

anything i should look for or anything that was wrong with those models?

here is a pic of the one im trading for.




the things circled are the things i was looking at.

handlebars? aftermarket?

fox shocks? right?

chain looks really rusty

DG pipe? am i correct?

May need new sprockets and a chain but doesn't look too bad.Got the year wrong though it's a 99 because it has shaft front drive,and is red.The handle bars are like the ones on mine so they may be stock but spray painted.Any more ?

 

Aslo ask the guy if he got a clutch kit for that pipe,and yes it does have a fox rear shock.

 

Check the counter balance oil and if it is dry or milky leave it alone.

 

It would be nice to know if the 4x4 works. I knew a guy who blew up a hub and sold his 4x3 to someone else.

 

but doesn't the fox strut come stock with all scramblers?

 

No besides sport atv's and the new xp's all polaris atv come with macpherson struts up front,scramblers up to 2002 had fox rear shocks.
