Default 400ex spark plug hondamechanic or reconranger help!

Hey guys, recently bought a 400ex and I need to change the plug. But I don't have the slightest idea where. Anyone have a diagram or video, or can just explain it to me?

The spark plug is just above and between the exhaust headers where they bolt to the head. If you don't have a honda plug wrench, I recommend picking one up. A socket wrench can be difficult to get in there. I've had better luck with the honda wrench.

Top front of the head, the plug boot slides onto that.

It is up top, but burried pretty well inside the head. If you have the stock tool kit, that wrench will work if you don't have anything else. I use a ratchet with two universal joints, and that does the trick with some maneuvering.

You may find that it is just easier to remove the plastic and fuel tank for easier access!

Yes, I would remove the tank and stuff too.

Why?

Because sometimes sand and dirt gets trapped by the plug and you don't want that dropping into the cylinder head.

Well if I had complete access to a manual in the immediate future I wouldn't be asking any of you now would I?
