What is the proper way of changing the boots. I have the axles out at this time but I don't know what comes apart to get the boots on.
All information will be helpful.

remove the big and small clamps. finish ripping the boot so it will come off. wipe grease away. thare is a clip on the axle shaft next to the CV joint. open this up with snap ring pliers and pull the CV joint away from the axle. its on splines.

install the new boot, small end first. fill boot with supplied grease. slide CV joint on shaft until clip catches joint. install big end of boot and tighten both clamps.

hope this helps....

How do you get the cv joint apart to get to the snap ring?

Use a rubber mallet and just pound it off the axle, same way going on. The snap ring big_kid is talking about is on some Polaris axles but not the one your doing.
