This is the newer one with the digital gear display on the handlebars. It has to be in neutral to start. My question is this, how can I disconnect this feature? My son can't get it into neutral to start it and I have to help him every time which isn't the easiest for me either. He's go three friends that we camp with and they can start theirs in any gear. How do I eliminate this feature? Thanks, Chance

I'm gonna guess the solinode starter wire must pass through a saftey switch on the shifter. Find the switch on the shifter (could be on the tranny case it's self to) and bypass it. If you cant get it bypassed, then wire directly from the battery to the start button to the solinoide.
But it's there for saftey, make sure your kid does'nt get into the habbit of reving while starting the motor.
