04 blaster no power

Default 04 blaster no power

my blaster sounds perfect on idle and rev while in netruel or when you hold the clutch in but when you go to take off it goes but has no power while going and when you shift it stays the same low power

i cleaned the carb adjust the carb and played with the idle idk whats wrong i put on a maier front fender and took out the ignition but i put it back in i dont have a light any more so idk if its the cdi box wiggin out on me now but idk i checked my spark plug and it looked like my fuel is burning really rich like im not getting enough gas but idk please help

When you had the carb out for cleaning did you check the reeds? Look for any cracks or broken areas.

definately check the reeds. but if ok then go back to the carb if its fouling the plug than your getting too much gas. the floats and valve might need help. good luck

One thing that I have found is where the main jet screws in that hole pieces comes out once the main jet and washer are out. It's the main nozzle, on the main nozzle there are small holes all the way up. This is for acceleration, the further the needle goes up the more of the small holes are opened so to speak. These holes plug up and basically you are running it lean and it will not go past even 1/4 throttle. You need to pop out the nozzle and make sure all the small holes are clean and then it should work for you.

Where is that nozzle located on the bike??
