Ok so basically I have no idea what is wrong with this wheeler. I started by taking the air filter off cleaning it, taking the carb out, cleaned it well, put it all back together.

no when I start it, it will run for a second then cut off. or if i try to give it gas it shuts off. every once in a while i can get just the right amount of gas and it will run till i let off the gas.

carb? Im not sure I was kinda starting to think maybe it was electrical. Im still working on it as we speak.....so any help would be quite great.


also the fifth gear doesnt work. You can engage it but it acts as though it is in neutral. I can deal without that for the time but help with anythinggggg would be great.

carb issue more than electrical. did you mess with any jets of the idol skrew when you cleaned tha carb? try bumping up the idol skrew and see if that helps.

if you dont have 5th gear when you shift into it, good chance it got shelled, or shifter fork problem???

if you messed with any jets or bumping up the idol speed wont help. you may have to pull the carb off agean, reclean and reset any jets you can to factory settings.

I have tried messing with the idle screw quite a bit....nothing really.

like you said I think it might be a jet thats not set right? Idk ima have to take it back off tomorow or soon and see if I can get them back to factory settings. [how do you find that]

btw on the fifth gear....I think its just fallin in between fourth and fifth gear or jumping over the fifth gear so it runs as if it were in neutral.

spend the $'s and buy a service manual, that will have factory settings in it. plus it will help you with alot of things in the future!
