I have a 90cc jetmoto quad and I want to do some up-grades as my son is not outgrowing his quad but wants more out of it. I want some up-grades like motor swap and a shifting auto to get him used to shifting so he can use a clutch in a year or two.

What motors will fit in there with a 1+ speed tranny.

 

Cost/time wise you would probably be better off just buying a bigger quad and selling your old one unless you have access to real cheap parts etc.

 

well I found a 110cc motor for 200.00 shipped comes with carb, cdi, everything bolts in, I was wondering if anybody else had done this swap.

 

Well I have both the 90cc auto and the 110 3speed with reverse. I'll take a look but I think it will bolt right in depending on which mounting method they used.

 

I think the 90cc and 110cc from what I've researched use the same frame, 110 has bigger tires and suspension, I am mostly after the 3 speed tranny because it will teach him how to shift, the only thing the motor does not come with is the shifting lever, so I need to see what the parts I have to buy to make it work.
