1999 Muffler Replacement

depending on how "cheap" you want to go, around $300 will get you an very nice aluminum HMF utility pipe, no rust. or you can go to tractor supply, farm&freet, ect; and get a tractor muffler. ik people who use them on there ATV, its not pretty but it works.
honestly, the AC pparts are way overpriced-look for a suzuki vinson 500 muffler. they are the same mechine as the AC500. suzuki has cheeper parts 4 some reason.
try http://www.bikebandit.com/, OEM parts and type in a suzukie vinson

The tractor mufflers are MUCH cheaper but you do get what you pay for. I tried one on a friends machine (AC 500 manual) and it was quite a bit louder that stock. Not as loud as his old muffler which was rusted out though. We had to tinker with the mounts to make it work. Then we had to mess with his jetting because the machine started running rich. Had to change the jetting (don't remember to what). He is still using it but only because he is a cheap sucker.
I found a muffler for a Suzuki Vinson (I thin I paid $195 for it) and then had to play with how it mounted up to the machine. I did not need to mess with jetting which can be a pain. I m not familiar with the HMF mufflers but sometimes they are hard to find for AC's for some reason.
