New to this fourm, I have a '97 warrior 350, little background on the atv: Bough the atv last may for $200. Didn't run and had been rolled and beatup. The person got it form a brother in law when it didn't run, he messed with it for awhile and bought an rmstator cdi for it and it still wouldn't run. Messed with it some more and got tired of it, sold it to me. I did some testing on it and found the pick up coil bad, replaced it with a rickystator high output unit and got it running. Replace all the bearings and seals, the axle, tires, rebuilt the carb, ect; ect. The bike has been running fine for months, Last Sat went out riding and it rode fine all day. Next day went to wash it and after wards it wouldn't start. No spark. NO pulse to the coil. I checked things out and found a ground wire loose at the rectifire/voltage regulator. I checked the stator wires and am getting a pulse from the green wire, on the voltage/ground tester it's a ground. But when I ohm it is open. the other wires(red/white & 3 white wires) all ohm out fine. Not sur eif the cdi is bad or the pick up coil/ pulse coil. Anyone have any info on the output of these? thanks! Kev.

 

I need the same info as I have the same problem with my 98 Warrior. Which colors should pulse from the stator cover? I have 3 whites that pulse, 1 white that doesn't, and a green and 2 reds that don't pulse. I have no pulse to the orange coil wire. Which colors going into the cdi should have power? I have only the brown going in with power. I have a manual and I'm no newb to rebuilding a bike, but I'm stumped on mine too as I've checked all the grounds and tore the whole harness open and checked for breaks/shorts.

 

Green and brown go to the pick coil, and the red/white to the stator pulse coil. 3 white wires are the voltage/watts output. If your not getting anything out of pick up, pulse wires it's prob. bad.

Brown/white wire is the main power.
