Default sportsman is awesome in the snow!

i know that people always look in here to get an idea on what to buy, and most of this stuff is about problems, but i just want to say that i love my popo and it surprises me every time i go out with it.

I decided to take the quad out in 2+' of snow to rescue my dad who got stuck with the snowmobile... it chugged right though it with all 4 wheels pulling me right through it and the drifts... then i used the stock winch to yank out the sled... told my dad to sell the sled and get a quad, he just laughed... i was serious..

very impressed with this machine with nothing but good things to say about it...

not to mention the mud performance this thing has...

i have only gotten it stuck twice when pushing the limits.... one time in a swamp and it burried up to the frame rails... just too much goop, i doubt any other quad would have made it that far... winched my self out and kept going... and i sank it in a 4' drift on a hill.... my mistake, thought i was going fast enough and didnt realize it was that deep... lost the quad in the snow, but found the winch and yanked my self out again.... even climbed back up the hill since i basically plowed it with the front end...

extremely capable little thing, and worth every penny!

It's always great hearing from someone else as happy as I am with a Sportsman. So far I haven't gotten stuck anywhere that my non-Polaris-riding friends could go through, but they've gotten stuck where I made it. They even had 1/3 bigger 5-valve engines and a lot less weight. Sportsman rawks.
