who do you think will win out of 2004 yz 250 bef up or 1981 yamaha ti 490 bef up

 

Never heard of of ti 490. Do you mean IT 490? The YZ will probably win. The IT's are fast, but are not made strictly for racing like the YZ.

 

If the IT 490 is the same two stroke engine as the YZ 490, then it should beat the YZ 250. They're both two strokes, and 500 cc beats 250 cc. But if the race is more than a straight up drag race, meaning there are jumps and turns in the race, then the 2004 YZ 250 will win. There is a big difference between a 1981 dirt bike and a 2004 dirt bike when it comes to suspension and handling performance. Those old IT model Yamaha's were ignorant beast' when it came to handling.
