My Wife has an 08 300 that was hard to start till I found the secret. I now will turn the key and pull out the choke just a little, maybe 3/4 " and I can hear the motor slow just a little, then it starts right up. I used to use to much choke and it would just spin.

Probably the air fuel screw on the carb, it's on the bottom of the carb and may have a brass plug over it that has to be drilled out and removed with a sheetmetal screw, should be set at 2 to 2.5 turns out.

The main update were the replacement air box tubes to help eliminate water ingestion, changing fron cr7hsa plug to cr6hsa. Also the air/fuel screw is a d shaped screw to keep people from adjusting unless you have the tool (I have the tool,BUT stupid idea, since people have used needle nose pliers and such distorting screw, rendering tool useless!
