Default 03 700 Sportsman Starting Grinding Problem

Hey everyone, Im new here but have been using the forum for awhile just searching and usually find my answers but I was unable to this time.

I have a 03 sportsmans and there is a problem when I try to start it. I turn the key and it makes a loud/aweful metal to metal grinding sound. It will sometimes start maybe about every 10-15 times. I replaced the started and the starter drive (bendix) and still have the same issue.

Does anyone know what the problem could be

Thanks for your help
Dan

Only thing can think of if making same noise after starter/bendix replaced is maybe cracked, damaged starter drive bushing causing bendix movement OR flywheel teeth worn?
