this summer my dad replaced the whole back end basically not axels but bearings, brake pads etc..the whole back axle was full of mud etc..Well on the left side of the axle there was this thing that was attached it was shape like an 0. it slid up and down the shaft.. when we replaced it we hammered it back into place it was suppose to be on the acutall axle carrier deal

E spent 400 or so dollars

the brakes barely worked before then after they worked great.

but now they squeek and i have to adjust them in more
and i dont know what the seals looked like and if my dad replaced them. can some1 give me a link to the honda recon seals

 

dont worry about the squeek noise its only break dust build up a good blast of an air line should do the job

 

but it only happens i noticed when i start slowing down real slow like 3 mph then it starts squeeking

 

Its normal. My old recon did the same thing. I think the brakes are glazed a little. You could always pull the brake apart just to make sure everything is good in there. Takes only 5 mins.

 

but why is the rear brake lever loose, and why have i had to adjust the footbrake twice
