Can AM DS 450 MX vs Polaris Outlaw 525 IRS
#1
I am thinking about buying one of these two models. I need some input from other people and racers. What machine is better for mototcross and handeling larger sized jumps? Which suspension is better? They seem to be both amazing quads and I need as much info as possible. Any info would be greatly appreciated.. Thanks for the help..

My roommate has the outlaw 500 IRS and its a bit of a dog. I'm sure the 525 is gonna fix that problem but it also feels heavy with the added wieght of the IRS in the back. I would think for jumping and riding a track you would want a solid rear axle.

Thanks for the help, so the DS 450 is my best bet then? That one is motocross built, but do you think it's faster than the Outlaw 525? The Can Am looks like a great racing machine from what I read. Any more input and info on these two quads would be great.. Thanks

I've pretty much made my decision on getting the DS450, it looks sweet and it's set up for MX, but the Outlaw still is a sweet machine.. Im wondering how fast the DS 450 is?

I've ridden a DS450 at the dunes and it was a quick little bugger bone stock, if that's what you wanted to know. I can't say what's faster between that and the outlaw but I can say they will both be quick and fun. Mr. Horsepower is saying the DS450 is going to be a monster. We will see.

Depends on the rider and the track really.
In general SRA would be better, especially to the experienced rider.
But for that matter Polaris offers an MX version of the Outlaw.
It's called the Outlaw 525 MXR.
