The DS450mx is definately a better bike for motorcrossing than the 525irs which is more of a trail bike. Polaris also has a 450 outlaw straight axle and a 525 straight axle, but stock for stock the ds450mx will be better on the track.
My 3 mod ds450 is pretty wicked, it doesnt take much $$ to get these things to scoot.

the 450 ds will beat the 525 outlaw becouse its the fastes best thing ever and its FASTER

Remember most all the 450 motors are from 450 motocross race bikes, the most powerful motor cross bike made is the ktm 525 mx which has the same motor as the outlaw 525,you can take it from there. The 450 Outlaw with the ktm 450 motorcross motor in it would give any 450 a good go let alone the 525.

Well I know this is old but I have hands on info of the 525 IRS outlaw racing my 06 TRX450r with Dasa Exhaust, HRC Kit. That 525 was stock minus a exhaust tip not even a slip on and he pulled a wheelie in 5th gear passing me, those bikes make like 52hp stock and put down about 48 to the tires!
