I find this funny because we were riding one day and we opened up the air box on a friends ds and there was three mice int here, we had a hell of a time gettin them out of the snorkel tubes. In your case i would think the dealer should shut up and do the work what do they care whos paying for it.

Take it to another dealer and tell them WHY you are doing it and tell thwm also of all the people you are telling about their shady buisness practices.. The DEALER should have NO say so on what YOUR insurance does.
Ofcourse this is my opinion..
I am tired of these crappy dealers, and how they keep getting buisness is BEYOND ME.

K&N filters are fine if taken care of proper.....oiling when needed they do not let dust in even without the prefilter they still do ALRIGHT...im not saying they are as good as a foam for filtration but they do let more air in your motor.....and for the dealer saying it was the filter....hes just being a bad dealer like the most of them the filter had nothing to do with the situation the mice DID. Congrats on getting it paid for by your insurance company.
