You're too tall, too heavy, and the Blaster's too little, and underpowered for a guy your size. I have one (girlfriends bike), and it's just too small for me. I'm 5'11", 225 pounds, the thing can barely pull me around in the sand, and I have to hang all the way off the back of the thing to make any kind of corner. Climbing any hills? Forget, you'll never make it up. Our's has an FMF pipe and silencer, although it made a BIG difference, we're getting rid of it real soon. I'd get something bigger, both physically, and in motor size, even if it means going used.

Does it still haul you around thought? I dont ride in sand, usually in the ditches, woods, or on a gravel road, i climb a couple hills, and my 200SX made it up them just fine. I just want it to haul me, i dont want a 4x4 and i need a used one, there really arent any used sport bikes out there that fit me for the money this would be the only quad that would!!!!!!!! shoot this sucks!@ i need a used one, where doyou live? maybe i will look into it!

Hey RangerSX I think the blaster would be fine. I own a 90 blaster and i rode it all year even in deep snow, both my wife and I would ride on the blaster with a combined weight of 355 lbs the blaster was a little crowded and under powerd but i can still to excelent wheelies and even small jumps I somtimes ride an 86 250R ,because my wife dont drive manual clutch machines.she rides on the back with me and she likes the blaster better . a well looked after blaster should give you no troubles, some riders feel that they have no leg room but give it time you will adjust. even the steep hills in the snow or sand with 2 people were no trouble once you learn to use a little cluth to keep the revs up,My wife and I have travled the (Seguin trail) from Parry Sound Ontario all the way in to Algonquin park (Kearney),on my stock blaster many times, thats a 5 hour ride one way, and the only time i broke down was when used a half link on my chain and it snaped,I replaced the link with a spare link that I always keep in the tool box and drove all the way home with a sloppy chain,I feel if you give the blaster a chance you will be suprised at what they can do and handle, and when or if you ever want to sell it you wont have any truble at all gettin' rid of it.

I will have to side with kevhog. True, A Blaster will handle two people. But I feel that at 225 pounds and 6 foot, Ranger is a bit too big. Sure it will hull him around fine, but I think it will just put a hamper on the fun factor. Getting big air and having the frame not smack the ground on a quad that was designed for a 200 pound rider. Well....
Look for a good LT250.

I am 5' 8" and 165 and I feel that the blaster is too small for me. It has fmf pipe and silencer, boyseen reeds, a 2" longerswingarm, a durablue axle, PEP suspension, and CT port and polish job and 18" tires with stock gearing.
I race with my blaster so it is nice having the small ger ratio but with all of this stuff I still can not fully function because of the physical size. A blaster is Ideal for
5'0" and 130 and under pounds. I don't reccomend that you get a Blaster.

My brother rides my blaster. He's 5'10" and 210lbs. It hauls him around. But if you can, you should get a bigger machine.
BTW, BC_YFS200, are you YFS200 from Blastercentral.com?

I own a 99 blaster I love it is a great bike.
I am 5 10 155lb and i have no problem throwing the blaster around. But that is the problem I can throw IT around. I plan on geting a bike that is a bit more of a challenge to ride don't know what yet probally a 400EX ive ridden a couple of my frinds and I really like them, thay handle great don't bottom out like the blasters do and thay have plenty of power. I would say to you keep riding what you have, save your money and than get something a little bigger than a blaster.
