okay -- so, please, when requesting help, please try to use standard english. I can't type/spell very well, but dang

If it runs well, and WHITE smokes a little, then don't worry about it.
If you like, run a compression test.
Check the oil level often.

"idles strong" I have no clue what that means, except you might mean it idles HIGHER than before.

No, wait... do you start with the choke level pulled left/back, and then it gets better, or do you start it "cold" and then the idle gets higher and higher?

try this, pull the choke lever in the morning, don't hit the thumble throttle, and hit the starter.. does it start and idle at a decent speed, or does it rev up up up...

if it doesn't start that way, hit the throttle twice, then start..
what you are trying to do is determine if the choke circuit works.

if it won't start with the choke on, but will with it off, then you are wickedly way too rich, which probably means a carb rebuild..

a moose carb kit, a UNI filter, and some lemon juice should be all you need to clean up the carb, if you know how to rebuild a carb.

If you don't know how to build the carb, be prepared to spend about 200 bucks at a repair shop

ah, okay...
you can try this..
drain the gas tank and clean it.. you will probably have crap in the tank.. which means it WILL have crap in the carb

you can take the carb out and clean it in less than an hour, do you have a shop manual to help you along

i would order the moose carb kit and a UNI air filter .. pull the carb, do a quicky rebuild, and go from there.. i am going to do the same for MY bike this weekend, as its acting something like that of late.. which is crab in the carb

inline filters are a blessing, get one, really

so, drain and clean the tank, add an inline filter, and then if you need to, rebuild the carb. It's NOT difficult, just detailed

the hardest part of the lakota keihin carb is getting the choke off and on the carb without stripping the plastic part

on the fuel mixture needle.. gently turn it all the way IN, then 2.5 turns out for richness

Yes, it should keep running ...
Make sure all of the leads are connected.. there's a think 2 right off the positive, but i might be wrong and it be the negative side...

it certainly can be the stator.. do you have a manual, and if not, you need to ordering one. It will have the expected voltages coming off the stator

it could be the stator or the regulator/rectifer ..

what part of the country are you located?
