raptor runs good at regular idling & just running the gears , but when ran at high rpm s half through 2-5 gear it wants to shut off & loses fire , slip clutch , comes back on runs good .is there a reve box , something electrical maybe????

 

I know this sounds like a stupid question but...Is your parking brake engaged?They will run like **** if it is.

So it only does it when it hits a certain rpm?

 

all electrcal devices are tight , no brake on , runs o.k. 1-5 just puttn around down shift & run hard at high rmp , winding gears about half way through the gears running hard it will lose power , slip clutch & your good .seems like it would be electrcal

If it ain't sputtering and backfiring I would assume it was a clutch problem.

 

just had new clucth put in 3 days ago that end runs good , no sputtering or backfiring , is there a such thing as a reve box or maybe electrical being high rpm shut off

 

Yes the Raptor has a rev box and cdi ignition.What all have you done to it recently?You may have something all buggered up in there.

 

bought it used for my 13 yr old son 8 months ago, , new chain & sprckets, new gears in rear end, or rear end chunk rather , new clutch, new starter , carb rebuilt , should i check on rev box? , have not replaced that yet . or cdi box ,
