Q About Honda 400EX Please Help!
#1
I just bought a 2000 Honda 400EX, it ran fine when I test drove it, I brought it home and it sat not even a week, (with the battery removed) in very cold temperatures outside. I put the battery in and tried to run it and I can't get it to start. After about 20 minutes of trying I noticed oil leaks, where the exhaust pipe connects to motor and also further down. Does anyone have any ideas, or suggestions?
Very Much Appreciated, Thank You!

The 400ex is cold blooded and hard to start in cold weather. What you see leaking may not be oil. Since it is coming from the exhaust pipe area it is probably unburned fuel coming out of the pipe after you were trying to start it.
Make sure your battery is fully charged before you try to start in in cold conditions and if you could park it in a garage not outside would also help.
