2005 honda trx 450r Will not fire, only kick start

I'm not sure where to start, I checked plug for spark and no fire. Key is on and head light will come on when bike is kicked, Plug looks good. Help PLZ.

had a 250es did same thing look next to right foot peg on engine small cover uder it is a wire that got disconneced. it was same thing you said

That's the neutral safety switch. It must be connected for the engine to fire.

Maybe your kill switch??? Left on or not functioning properly? It grounds that spark.

There is no neutral safety switch or anything like that on this model. It's an old school kick starter....
