Where do you put oil in a 1996 trailblazer 250 gear case.Ive got a small crack somewhere and want to put more oil in.I know the dipstick but that is a pain to get a funnel in there.I know its a dumb question but just bought it at a action and dont know much about it.

that bees the spot and yes it is a real pain to get a funnel in there. i finally got one of those long slender funnels and a peice of hose that fits on the end of it. feed that hose down into the fill hole. easier than trying to get the funnel in

10w40 is just about right. you dont want a gear lube (80w90) because it is too think .there isnt a lot of heat buildup in the gearcase so it doesnt ever thin out and allowed to be "slung" up to the bearings and gears. also doesnt stick too well when cold. but light weight motor oil is just right.
