YFZ Racing Questions
#1
hey guys, I will be starting my 3rd year of Motokazie racing next year. I have a 2007 yfz450. I am getting it completely overhauled over the winter. I wanted to ask some questions before ordering all my parts.
-What a-arm size is the best for mainly SX and some MX racing? I was thinking long travel...also what brand is most reliable? Im thinkin Houser or Laegers
-I want to order PEP suspension, however i cant find a retailer?! My second choice is Elka...any thoughts?
-I am also getting a stearing stem and swing arm....what size would be best for the swing arm? I am leaning towards Houser...
-Im lookin to get Flexx Bars, what bend is most effective?
Any other comments would be awesome! thanks

As far as your suspension, you definitely want to go with a long travel set-up. Houser and Laeger both make great stuff. As far as shocks, I highly recommend Fox Evols for the fronts and a Fox Podium for the rear. The Evols are springless and are air adjust so you don't have to have different springs. They really are amazing. You will not find more of a suspension expert than Norris Quinn at Quinn Motorsports in Carnesville, GA. He does suspensions for national race teams and is a all around good guy to deal with. Look him up......I promise it will be well worth it! He has forgotten more about suspension than most people know. Good luck!

speednik, you going to come up and play with the district guys at all, Motokazie comes to my home town for one fair show. I would agree with no $$$ limit fox are awesome. I do have to say that we ran Elkas last year and loved them too. As far as PEP's check with Root River Powersports in Lacresent. I really don't know if I would change the stock swing arm, I think Yami did their home work their. As far as A-Arms I would go with +2, +1 this seems to be in general a good set up. Being from MN have you given Motowoz shocks a look, seen them do well too.
