So my sportsman is still not running. I have been talking to lots of people that are giving me ideas on how to fix this.

Someone just told me that it is the ECM box that is causing me my grief. He told me they had a big recall on them and Polaris needs to fix it.

He told me of what my atv is doing and not doing and he was exactly right! So it looks like it is the ECM.

Question, how do I search by VIN # to see if my atv is one of the recalled units?

I can only find info on seriel #'s.

I just called my dealer and gave the VIN number over the phone .......They checked that way........Caper.........

 

Yea for security reasons you don't want to post your VIN#'s its like the vehicles SSN.
I did the same thing CAPER did! And not sure about the wait time, but there was a huge
backup, so get that call in, it took 2 1/2 months if I remember correctly to get the part
and I went up there and they gave me same day service and then I rode on trails up
in the mountains that day!
