Need help! glacier 2 plow mount to Winch mount question
#1
850 xp with glacier 2 plow and mount. Warn 3.0 RT winch. I need a mounting bracket that will allow all five holes of the plow mount to line up just like the picture Rancher55 has in his camera icon. I bought a KFI winch mount, a Warn RT 3.0 winch and that fits the ATV, but does not match up with the plow mount in the front. The front 2 holes are not even close. Rancher55 did you purchase the polaris winch and mount with the machine? I called the dealer and they said they only sell the mount that matches with the polaris winch. Can anyone tell me where to get the correct winch mount? I guess I'm already out the $38 I gave KFI for there mount. Thanks for any help that I receive. Marc

Thanks Rancher55, I went to the polaris dealer where I purchased the machine and plow to order the correct winch mount that would allow the glacier 2 plow mount to mount to the winch mount correctly. Guess what I found out? They do not sell the winch mount separately. You have to order the polaris winch and mount as a whole kit! I was told that maybe in a couple of months the OEM winch mount may be available separately. I did not want a polaris winch so I went in a different direction. This is what I get for that. I guess I will not be plowing this year! Why do these companies do this?

DCT, The winch mount fits the machine just fine. The problem arises when I try to install the plow mount. The design of the glacier 2 plow mount is supposed to bolt through 2 holes in the front that secures to the winch mount. I believe the OEM winch mount is designed just slightly different to accept the 2 bolts. I am just frustrated that polaris is holding me hostage on the OEM winch mount. The dealer had the correct winch mount in stock, but it is part of a winch package that they will not break apart. They are forcing you to buy the polaris winch with the mount. I may just have a friend do some welding mods to the winch mount I have. thanks for the suggestions. Marc

That really sucks!
You may be able to mod. the mount that you have but remember that the distance from your winch mount to the rear plow mount bolt has to stay the same!
Good luck!
