Default synthetic or cable winch

Just wondering which one to get. Anyone have good luck with the synthetic. Gorilla winches look good and come with everything for a good price. Just not sure about the synthetic.

Default synthetic or cable winch

I just switched mine over to synthetic. I use mine for plowing and the cable didn't last. new in 10/06 broke in 1/09. just at the very end where the hook goes. could of saved it and reused but, decided to go w/ synthetic instead. so far pleased.

Default synthetic or cable winch

i have a synthetic on my vinson and wire on my arctic cat. i definately prefer the synthetic. when plowing, the wire rope gets a memory to it, and when winching in the field, the synthetic is easier and lighter to handle. just keep an eye on the roller fairlead for knicks or scratches. it will tear up your synthetic rope.

go with the rope dude its so much easier to handle just make sure you keep it clean lots of dirt n mud is like an abrasive it will ruin the synthetic rope its much better and also you can store more rope then wire on the winch!
