What to do to keep you quad from getting stolen
#1
Last week I think someone was trying to get into my garage. I have a raptor, banshee, and a warrior in there and know I can't sleep. What if anything can I do or is it just one of those things if they want it bad enough they will get it. I now park my truck right up to the door but sometime I work at night. I thought about chains but its not hard to cut them any suggestions.

Get good insurance coverage.Buy an alarm system. Do whatever you can to make the task of stealing them more difficult and time consuming. Get a dog and make his house big enough to put your quads in. No matter what you do if they want it they will get it. Hmm, dont theives do what they do cause they are to lazy to get a job? Kind of a contradiction there hey?!

Mine's in my back yard. In a locked shed. With my trailer in front of the shed. No way around the trailer. You'd have to move it or carry the Raptor over it. My tow rig is in front of the trailer. Locked. All behind my locked R.V. gate. And let's not forget the big watchdog. I'd say it's pretty safe. Plus I own lots of guns.

I keep both of mine on the trailer, locked to the trailer, and to each other with Kryptonite locks. I also have one side of the trailer against a high retaining wall, the other sides are surounded by vehicles. My bedroom window overlooks all of this, next to the window is a 12 guage, locked, cocked, and ready to rock.

Chains, Dogs, motion detectors on the outside of the Garage tied into something that speaks(I got a 12 gauge with full choke on pointed at your head..), finally a Motion Detector inside the shed, garage that notifies the police. Should be less than 30 dollars for the service, I just one an alarm system for my house and the serive for everything was like 30 and It COULD drop your insurance.

3Raptor8, Your best bet is to make it time consuming to steal your items. You could purchase a couple of boots for the tires or you could remove 2 tires on each machine and store them somewhere else in your house. Or, just deflate the tires and put them on blocks, anything to use up time or reduce the fast getaway. Garage doors are easy, make stealing hard by making them use time. Call up a place that stores cars or other big ticket items. I believe nothing can just be "driven" off the lot. Homeowners insurance may cover theft from your property, but get a brinks or some other system, it will reduce your insurance slightly plus security is somewhat cheap, and they'll call the cops and you when your alarm goes off.
I have mine in the mud room that is 7 steps lower than the garage. You need the rack over the steps to drive it out. It sits on a jack, tires deflated with no gas and gas turned off. Keys are not around the ATV and thar she sits. Most people ask how I got it down there which is good because the next question is how do you get it out. Alarm system and dog do the rest.
Good luck, getting ripped off sucks.
