Polaris Sawtooth

Has anyone had any problem with their Sawtooth? I just picked up a 2006 sawtooth for my kids the thing has no time on it at all but when you are riding it and you are climbing hills it comes out of gear all the time. Has anyone else had this problem and if so how did you resolve it? Does the shifter have an adjustment on it or is it in the tranny..
Thanks Gregg

Only problem I've had with the Sawtooth and Hawkeye is that when you slightly blip throttle in neutral,THEN shift into forward or reverse as idle comes down, will shift into gear properly and positive! Just the way they are designed! Straight cut gears and you have to feel a positive engagement or will jump into gear when throttle applied or grind! Polaris is well aware of this! If has been doing this for some time, could possibly grind gears and could jump out of gear. I've explained this to a lot of owners! Not to much on adjustment since has a three position detent at botttom of trans linkage and long as it engages on detent properly in N-F-R, about all you can do.

Ok I understand that but what Im talking about is when you are riding and you are climbing a hill and the motor in under torque and you are in the middle of a hill and it will just jump out of gear and leave you stranded in the middle of the hill. And the hills are not that big and my 10 yrs son in on the quad and he is a feather weight. Now i have ran beside the quad and watched what is does and the shifter never moves out of the forward position but the tranny jumps to neutral.
