Default Code 25

I searched old posts and found nothing. My 07 800 gets code 25. My tranny shifts and runs normal. Any ideas?

Default Code 25

looks like the transmission switch is not working correctly. there is 2 wires by the looks(a white and brown wire) that sends signals between the speedo and the trans. switch.

If trans shifts fine AND CORRECT gear positions shows on speedo, just unhook battery for about 30 seconds and see if code is removed. Speedo can show false codes when every thing is running ok! You also might check that sensor mounted on trans has e-clip still on and does not have a broken tab on back of sensor that locks it in to trans body, allowing sensor to move, have had a couple that have done this, but havent thrown codes.

I had that code on my 08/800 last fall. Dealer blamed dirty connections first time. It worked for a week and code returned. Insisted to have the gear selection module replaced and never had an issue with it since.

Well after plowing last night the code 25 is back. It operates 100 % normal. I have removed the sensor on trans and cleaned all connections. The e-clip is fine. Will anything bad happen If I just keep riding it? I just wanna make sure I wont break down in the middle of nowhere!
