Default Raptor 350 doesnt stay idle

Hi i have a yamaha raptor 350 and it wont stay idle, i start it up and if i dont rev the engine it just stalls. It is not because it is not warmed up either because if i have been riding for 20 min. it still stalls if i stop and let go of the gas. I really want to fix this problem because i love this quad and i want everything perfect on it. Thanks.

You may have a Throttle over ride switch going bad or the throttle cable out of adjustment.
Also those have a clutch switch that liked to wierd out.

Go to esnips.com, type in Honda TRX service manual in search. as you sift through service manuals, can't remember for sure but I think on the second or third page there is a free service manual available for download for that unit. Thought I seen one in there for the 350 somewhere

Could just be the idle isn't adjusted right on the carb. Don't really have to get all technical about it...

Gummed up idle (slow/pilot) jet! Modern fuel quickly turns to scum and cloggs this jet. They are cheap, so just replace it.

LOL, I would like to say pilot jet clogged

Not saying I am right on this one.

Raptor 350's and The Gimpster don't see eye to eye....

For some reason diagnosing them has spanked me in the past.

Scheduled them in with same issues as described above thinking simple carb clean when the issues lay deeper.

Hope he gets lucky with the carb

man thats awesome every other xbrand forum you go to if someone with a quad other than xbrand asks a question all they seem to get is "Wrong forum" or "try your own forum". Nice to see that some people see it the way i do, its just personal preference on what you ride and maybe these guys here know a thing or two more than the guys there. I love it! way to go! big ol pat on the back here fellas. I see all sorts of critisisms on all sorts of forums, dodge forums with chevy owners posting and ford forums with toyota owners and around and around.. it shouldn't matter what we ride or what we drive, the only thing that should matter is that someone out there might know an answer to a problem we have and that someone might be in a place for that machine but they might be in a place for a different machine. Bravo Guys Way to stand out among the crowd!
