breeze starter not engaging

Default breeze starter not engaging

my buddy has a breeze that the starter sometimes will not engage. it seems to just spin. we took off the belt cover and removed the gear between the starter and the gear on the crankshaft and couldnt find any problems. it also only seems to have this problem when warm?? any help?? thanks

It's the one way bearing.

Mine had the very same problem; even down to the mostly doing it when it's warm.
Got sick of it and replaced the one way and never had a problem again.

I bet you have bad springs in the one way like I did. It's a pisser because the one way was like 50 bucks and it only needed a buck worth of springs to fix the whole deal.

Default breeze starter not engaging

take off the starter clutch and clean it real good with wd-40 and put it back on. That fixed mine. They get gummed up.
