Default Removing the shim from rzr for top speed

I've heard rumors that removing the shim in the front clutch can cause belt and or clutch problems? The belt is the same as what is on 800 and 700 models that are 07 and up. (and other models) The only thing different is the atv's use the ebs clutch and the rzr clutch is not ebs. How many here have removed the shim and have you had any problems with belt or clutches? Have you left the shim in and still had clutch or belt issues?

What, no comments from anyone? Who has done it and what are the results? How many miles and how often do you have it at top speed? Yes, I know I'm getting technical. I've heard rumors that it can cause belt to come apart. I know that belts can come apart anyway. I'm trying to link belt "explosion" to the shim removal. (Or proove otherwise) The belt is used on other atv models as well. The front clutch part number is exclusive to the rzr but may only be because of the shim. I can't find any evidence of an issue but looking for some other peoples experience.

it didn't really do anything when we took it out, what we did was indexed the clutch machined the shim down .002 and put two sizes lighter weights in the primary and a heavier spring in the secondary, gain a lot of bottom end and keep about the same top end maybe a mile an hour or two more, pulls a stock rzr out of the hole big time and then they stay about the same
