Default 2001 Honda Rancher Oil Leak

I have a 2001 Honda rancher 350 4x4 Manual shift that runs excellent. Ihave just notice a seeping oil leak from above the sparkplug that appears to be a gasket is this something to worry about or just keep an eye on my oil. I want to fix it my self but not sure if im brave enough to take the top end of motor off can anyone help? Do I just need a new gasket? How much would a dealership charge to do it? It does not smoke or burn oil!

My 400EX leaks a little oil around a seal up on the rocker arms. I will replace it some day, but for now I just live with it.

I would say get a service manual, and take a good look at the diagrams and see if you can locate the leaking seal or gasget.

This engine is air cooled, so there is no issue with perhaps getting coolant going somewhere it shouldn't, so it isn't an emergency. If that were the case, I would say get on it right away.

Getting a service manual is very good advice, if you are going to do your own service and are going to keep the machine long term.
