Taking apart and cleaning a warn winch
#1
Well I have mine taken all the way apart, and was just wondering if anyone knows the best things to do, or not to do when cleaning these things and regreasing.
The only thing I havent done is take the motor completely apart. It seems to be stuck, but m assuming its the magnet that is holding it togther. Do yall clean inside the motor as well? I thought about using brake cleaner on the rest of the winch, to get out the grease/mud/grit mixture i have all over the inside.
It was sounding kinda rough when winching, so i figured it might need a good cleaning. Not real sure what was making the sound that it was making though, sounded kinda like some sort of clicking noise or something.
