Default anyone else have a discolored muffler on a 800

well i posted the other day that broke the roller cage so am havin a buddy work on it for me he asked me why 1 muffler was discolored, i had no idea saying i thought it was from running hard. well after he looked into it he found out my intake was warped it is only a piece of hardened plastic but was enough to let air in and cause a lean condition and making one cylinder burn hotter than the other one. wow good thing he knows something cause i would have ran it like that till the piston was scored. just wanted to let anyone else that might have that issue what to look for.

I've only had my 500 for 3 months and the exhaust has already started to rust...I assumed it was from road salt...

Here here, Stendori remember our thread on this about a month ago?

Yea all good talks though, mine has too. I would like to remove all of it and have it treated/coated etc. just don't have the cash now, but what did JF post? Something about its like that on the outside but inside protected? If you remove the rust
it will cause issues thinning the metal and other problems. I don't know? Maybe a whole new stainless
steel aftermarket muffler/pipe but the stock does its job functionally so in this case I am not too worried
about the cosmetics, I have too many other things with the quad to be concerned with. - IMO
