Default thermostat

Is there an aftermarket thermostat avail. for 01 500 HO. the dealer wants 65.00 for one, when a car one is 15.00 any help be great.

people have used a car thermoostat, they just had to find a one that fit in the hose right

we picked one up from NAPA..take your cap in and match it...

Well the T-stat in a housing, so your saying just match it up? it would have to seal the hole to keep the coolant out. I took the T-stat out and it still seems to run hot...it not giving the coolant a chance to cool.

The cap is fine....any 13 lbs cap will work....thanks for the info though

Read thought this.Substitute parts for polaris.


They say a <div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>Thermal sensor - tells fan when to come on - Wells SW526 less than $30</end quote></div>

I have read that post, The thermal sensor tells fan when to come on, yes mine is working and i have my fan wired off of a switch as well.

The Thermostat controls the flow of coolant...

Keep the thoughts coming...
